A 28-year-old unemployed youth was arrested for cheating scores of job aspirants by collecting a registration fee of Rs 1,300 from Mysuru.

Karthik aka Sharavanan conducted a session for unemployed youths at a hotel on the outskirts of the Mysuru sometime back and promised them jobs that could easily fetch them anywhere around Rs 15,000 a month as salary.

Gullible aspirants, without verifying his antecedents, fell into his trap by enrolling their names and paid him a prescribed fee. He had promised them to get laptops too. Since some of the payments were made only and directly into his bank accounts, it helped cops to track him and arrest soon after the complaint.
