Apart from regular programmes and competitions, here is a glimpse of events that await your participation at this year's Dasara.

Heritage Walk in ethnic dress: Heritage Walk for public mandatorily in ethnic dress on Oct. 1 at 7.30 am commencing from Town Hall premises and passing through Silver Jubilee Clock Tower, Freemasons Club, Chamaraja Wadiyar circle, Mysore Palace, K.R. Circle, Chikkagadiyara, Devaraja Market, K.R. Hospital, Chamarajendra Technical Institute, Government Ayurveda College and culminate at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute.

Ethnic Hairdo contest: Ethnic Hairdo contest for women on Oct. 2 at 11 am at the premises of Dasara Exhibition Authority in city. The contest will last for 45 minutes and the ethnic hair-styling should be done on-the-spot without using any readymade aids.

Heritage (Desi) games: Heritage (Desi) games contest on Oct. 3 at 10 am at the premises of Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA). The games include Kanna Muchhale, Kunte Bille, Snake and Ladder, Marbles, Chowka-Bhara, Tug-of-War, Aliguli Mane, Gunny sack race, Chinni-dhandu and many more

Selfie with Heritage Building: The selfie should be taken with only one person and the photo should be of size 10×12. The best three selfies will be awarded cash prizes.

Dasara Doll arrangement: The panel judges will visit the houses of the ‘Dasara Doll Arrangement Contest’ participants from Oct. 3 to 6 and select the winners

Food Mela: Dasara Food Mela will be held under the aegis of Dasara Food Mela Sub-Committee from Sept. 29 to Oct. 10 at Bharat Scouts and Guides Grounds and at the MUDA Grounds near Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel.

Dasara Flower Show: A wonderful collection of flowering plants blooming in all glory offers a visual treat will be held at Nishad Bagh (Kuppanna Park) from 29th September to 9th October 2019

Dasara Exhibition: It is a shopper’s paradise and a great opportunity to explore products from all over India and to get a first-hand experience of the cultural diversity and variety of our country. Held at Dasara Exhibition Grounds from 29th September 2019 Onwards

Dasara Sports: Will be held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium from 29th September onwards

Dasara Heli Rides: Tourists and residents can hop into a helicopter to get a bird’s eye view of all the iconic places in Mysuru from Lalith Mahal Helipad on 27th September to 10th October 2019

Dasara Vintage Car Rally: Rare models of Vintage and Classic cars take part in the Rally at Lalith Mahal Palace on 29th & 30th September 2019

Mysuru Dasara Matsya Mela: The Matsya Mela is one of the special attractions of the Dasara festivities where rare and exotic fish breeds are displayed in colourful setups. At JK Grounds from 1st to 3rd October 2019

Chitra Santhe & Hasiru Santhe: Artists display their beautiful arts, while on the other side, the colours of bountiful nature is for the taking as stalls sell Organic vegetables and fruits. At Krishnaraja Boulevard road on 5th October 2019

Dasara Kite Show: Professional kite flyers colour the sky with a variety of Kites, while the enthusiasts can try their hand at giving wing to their kite flying dreams. At Lalith Mahal Grounds on 12th & 13th October 2019

Jamboo Savari: The highlight of the procession is the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari placed in a Golden Howdah over a magnificently caparisoned elephant. Will egin from Mysore Palace Premises On October 8th 2019
