First Kovid-19 Maternity Hospital opened in Mysore
The first Kovid-19 Maternity Hospital in the state has been openedin Mysore for the treatment and special care of pregnant women infected with coronavirus in the district .
If pregnant women get coronavirus, the mother and child can get the virus. Realizing this, the Health Department has taken precautionary measures. It is difficult to treat infected pregnant women in Kovid hospital. At this time, it is better to open and care for the special ward and the Shree Lakshmi Devamma Shankarashetty Maternity Hospital in the city’s VV Mohalla has been converted into a Kovid-19 Maternity Hospital.
The 30-bed hospital will be staffed by the doctors and staff of Cheluwamba Hospital with two obstetrician, two pediatric specialists and specialist pediatric nurses. All of them have been trained by the Health Department. Everyone is getting a personal protective equipment (PPE) kit.
