Mysuru topped in number of tests conducted per million
Mysuru district, which was declared as a COVID-19 hot spot, according to a report from the Karnataka Department of Health and Family Welfare, has topped the State in the number of tests conducted per million.
Among the 20 districts in the State that have reported COVID-19 positive cases, the highest number of tests per million have been done in Mysuru district. The lowest is in Belagavi district. The Health Department data shows that Mysuru district has conducted 902 tests per million, while Belagavi has conducted 162 tests per million.
Mysuru recorded 88 COVID-19 positive cases (cumulative), the second highest in the State after Bengaluru Urban that has recorded 101 positive cases. In Mysuru, as on April 23, there are 55 active cases and 33 persons have been discharged. As per the bulletin released by Mysuru District Administration, 2,774 persons have been tested and 2,686 samples were declared negative.
